The patient underwent several operations to correct a number of deformities. This included surgery to straighten the great toe, surgery to the second toe to remove a callous and underlying bone, and surgery to remove a callous and straighten the 5th toe.

Foot surgery

For some patients, foot surgery may be the best treatment for restoring normal (and normal-looking) function to the foot and lower leg.

For patients who need foot surgery, the London Podiatry Centre employs the most advanced surgical methods alongside state-of-the-art technology and innovative plastic surgery techniques to accelerate healing and optimise outcomes.

All foot surgery is conducted by the London Podiatry Centre's director and Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, Ron McCulloch (B.Sc, F.C.Pod.S). Mr. McCulloch offers surgical appointments at his main centre in south London and at The Harley Street clinic in central London. Mr. McCulloch also operates at Homerton University Hospital, the main hospital for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

All forms of foot surgery are offered at the Centre. Its surgeons have a particular expertise in bunion, hammer toe, toe shortening, complex reconstructive surgery and surgical treatment of painful lesions of the foot, such as verrucae, corns and calluses.
