Before toe shortening surgery

Before toe shortening surgery

After toe shortening surgery

A few days after surgery when sutures are still in place. Sutures are removed after 10-14 days. Swelling generally resolves over the coming weeks and patients can return to normal activities 2-3 weeks after surgery.

Toe shortening

Many patients complain of unsightly, often uncomfortable long toes which have a tendency to press on shoes. At the Centre the lesion (when present) is removed and the toe is shortened so as to avoid recurrence. These operations are performed under local anaesthetic on a day care basis.
